About
Ragnheiður Jónsdóttir is a Copenhagen-based sound engineer and producer of classical and acoustic music.
Before studying music production, she studied viola performance and musicology, and this broad musical background is very valuable in the production of classical music.
Ragnheiður has a minimalist approach to music production. She likes to record the sound of the instruments and the acoustics in the clearest way possible, and her goal is always to capture the musicians playing to the very best of their abilities.
Her work has gathered four nominations and three wins at the Danish P2 Awards and seven nominations and two wins at the Icelandic Music Awards.
In 2022, Ragnheiður was one of twelve recipients across all art forms to receive the stipend ‘Den unge kunstneriske elite’ from the Danish Arts Foundation.
